Momentous Weekend

(Happy Bailey after she threw up all over herself)

So this weekend was my only weekend off for the rest of the year so Kyle and I wanted to do something fun. We were invited to go down to St. George with friends from work but when we thought through it, it was going to be too difficult with Bailey. So Thursday night Kyles parents had their time share in Park City so we went up there and had dinner with his parents and then went back to the hotel and watched a movie. We put Bailey to bed around 8:30 in a pack and play that the hotel provided. We thought that she might not sleep very well b/c she wasn't used to those surroundings. Well, Kyle and I went to bed about 11:00 and then I suddenly woke up due to lots of pain in my chest, needing to pump. I turned and looked at the clock and it said 6:30am!!! I couldn't believe it. I looked at Kyle and I said, BAILEY IS STILL ASLEEP!! Now keep in mind, the whole week before this she was waking up every 2 hours at home. I was amazed and told Bailey many times in that day of how proud I was of her.

We came back home Friday morning so Kyle could go to work. Then our friends Karen and Phil invited us up to their family cabin near Strawberry Resevior. We packed up again and headed up Friday night. The cabin was beautiful and we had dinner, put Bailey to bed, and played games all night. Same thing...woke up the next morning at 6:30, Bailey made it through another night!!! We thought this was a fluke, but it was for real!

(These are Phil and Karens 3 girls: Sierra, Savanna, and Sydney playing with Bailey.)

Saturday morning Kyle and Phil went out hunting while us girls woke up, made breakfast, hung out, went for a walk, made lunch, hung out, sat outside in the nice weather, and started making dinner. The boys arrived home after shooting a 4 point deer. We ate dinner, put Bailey to bed around 7:30, played games, went to bed. When I crawled into bed I thought I heard Bailey on the monitor so I ran into the room and she was sound asleep. Must have been talking in her sleep. I crawled back into bed and didn't wake up again until 6:30!!! My sweet baby made it through 3 nights, not at home.
(Phils deer he shot opening morning of the rifle hunt. He made Kyle do all the dirty work, lol. Its sexy to watch a man skin a deer :)

(Daddy took her on a Rhino ride while Karen and I finished cleaning the house)

She is asleep now in her own crib. She has woken up once b/c I made a loud noise, but we shall see if this wonderful sleep pattern will last. I am a new women with 3 nights of full sleep. Bailey is also growing out of her colic. She still cries a little more than most babies but she is such a cute and adorable baby. She is now babbling, blowing bubble, and starting to kinda giggle when playing. This month has been so much fun watching her learn and grow. I'm glad the crying is settling down, it is much easier to handle a happy baby :)

It was a good get away where we could just sit around and relax. The weather was beautiful and we appreciate the hospitality of Phil and Karen to let us come and stay with them.

Also, there is a new baby in the family. Kyles niece, Brittney had a little girl on October 11th. Her name is Alameda Joy Gali. Welcome Alameda.

I think Bailey looks so beautiful in this picture with all the bright colors. This is the newest member of the family:Alameda

3 months

Bailey is now 3 months and 3 weeks old. She is growing and developing every single day. These past few days have really been fun, minus the no sleep. I am back to work now. The first shift I cried all the way to work, but now its a little get away for me to be with adults and have real conversations. Kyle has been doing great with Bailey and they get those 2 shifts a week to bond with each other. Bailey has discovered her vocal cords just a little. She has started blowing the bubbles and babbling. It is so cute to sit behind her and watch her. She will just stare at the ceiling and talk for a good 10 minutes or so. Also, now when Bailey wakes up in the middle of the night, I go in and try to rock her back to sleep or nurse her. While nursing she will pull away and look up into my eyes and smile SO big. Like shes not even tired. I can't help but start laughing which makes her smile even more and longer. These first 3 months have been difficult due to her colic but now I see relief is on its way. I also think part of her problem is that she isn't eating enough. We started feeding her more and WOW, she's been happier. lol. While talking with girls from work, I discovered that I only produce a 1/3 of what they produce. Dang, I've been starving my child!!! haha. Sorry Bailey, I know you will forgive me though. Here are a few pictures of her smiling away. Man, she's so dang cute.

Oh yea, on September 19th she rolled from her belly to her back 3 times in a row but won't do it again. I set her down on her play mat the other day and then went to make breakfast, when I got back she was on the complete opposite side of the mat. My girl is sneaky sneaky and won't let her mommy enjoy watching her roll over.
