Counting my blessings!

So lots has happened since my last post.
1st of all, I'm very grateful to still have a place to live. Halloween day our landlord called and wanted to talk. He broke the news to us that since he had been staying in the downstairs of our house he hadn't been feeling very good and after many test, he tested for Meth and it was positive. We then did a test upstairs and waited over a week to hear the results. The health department called and told us it was positive as well. I started packing all the important things and hid them so they couldn't take them away from me. They then called back and said that the level wasn't high enough to condemn the house so we could stay. Still kinda scary right? They said if we just wipe the walls down and have the carpets cleaned then it wouldn't test positive again b/c the levels were so low. Thank the Lord on that one.
In that week we were waiting to hear, we started looking for homes to buy. We got pre-approved and found one we liked. The more we prayed about it and then heard we could stay in our house, we never put the official offer down and have been taking our time to find the right place for us.
In the mean time, Bailey has been growing like a weed. She is now 5 months old and I can't believe it!! She sprouted over night I swear. She has learned and developed so much this past month.
Things Bailey loves to do now:
  • loves to bite on her fingers or anything she can get ahold of.
  • Drool
  • Cry when I leave the room
  • Try to eat anything and everything
  • Can say Da-da-da-da-da
  • Smile at everyone
  • Capable of rolling over but has only done it very few times
  • tries to roll off her changing mat
  • look in the mirror
  • Not sleep very long
  • when she does wake up in the middle of the night, she thinks it's time to play and talks and smiles. Only way to get her back to sleep is hold her all night and bring her in my bed for the last few hours.
  • Pull away and look at anything while nursing, yes, still attached!!!
  • Loves watching Price is Right with Mommy before taking her morning nap.
  • puckers her lips like she's giving a kiss

The list can go on and on. It seems like everyday is a new thing and I love it. Oh she hasn't been very good at giggling so I try to show her how. She now just tries to suck in air and it makes a really funny high pitch noise. I love it.

This is Bailey mesmorized by the water coming out. She loves her baths.

Bailey looks kind of funny here but this was her very first time trying the Rice cereal. She wasn't a huge fan. I give it to her every couple of days and now she is getting the hang out it.

My mom brought over this Christmas outfit. I thought it was sooo cute with the hat. haha
I love this picture. She is just too cute to handle. Gosh I love my little girl!!
THANKSGIVING:
For Thanksgiving we had it at Kyle's sister-in-laws house here in Orem. We usually in the past have had it with the whole extended Johnson family but it has just gotten too big. It was nice having it at a house rather than the church building. We ate lots and lots and then the men watched the kids and all the girls went to New Moon. (it was ehh...Alright)
Then the Saturday after, Heidi and I drove to Ogden to my Graums house and had our Thanksgiving there with my mom and Aunt.
This was way past Baileys bedtime, and my moms Halloween costume wig that she wore to dinner. lol

Can't imagine her with a full head of hair. ha
Kyle and I had his neice babysit while we went to the BYU football game. It was awesome and so nice to actually go somewhere with my husband alone. We had a blast!!

My good friend Ashley had her baby this past week. Her baby Brynlee only weighed 6lbs so she was 2 lbs lighter than Bailey. It is crazy to think in only 5 months they can grow so much.

In this Thanksgiving season, it has made me really think of all that I have and I am so grateful for all of it! I'm grateful I have a great, beautiful, healthy baby girl that brightens my life each and every day. I'm so thankful that I have a wonderful husband who really and truly is so amazing to me and Bailey. He helps out so much and never gets mad at his silly wife. I love this little family we have created and thank my Heavnely Father each day.
I'm grateful for our families and friends who are so wonderful to us and supportive.
For our health, home, and jobs.
For the gospel in my life and all it brings.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
