Christmas 08

Merry Christmas everyone!!! So my dad got in town last Sunday and stayed with Heidi and Morgan for the first few days. Then on Christmas Eve they all came over to do our gift exchanges and have our old tradition of Stouffers lasagna. MmmMmmm. Then Heidi and Morgan headed to Beaver, UT (where he is from) and we finished our shopping. Christmas morning the boys woke up early while I got every moment of sleep I could, we put in a roast, and then opened gifts around noon. Here are all our many presents. I went way over budget this year. After that, we ate our yummy roast, and then went out to Kyles land and took a tube and knee board out along with the four wheelers and had a blast. Here are the pictures of the days. Sunday night we will be having our Christmas with my mother. Oh Boy!!!

This is a big ol icicle that was hanging out of our drain. Pretty cool.

This is my cute husband opening his Wii!!!! He waws soooo excited! :)

Christmas Pictures

Well Kyle and I are slackers and have been wanting to send out Christmas cards but we didn't have any cute pictures. So I called my sister Heidi and her husband Morgan yesterday and asked if they wanted to go take pictures up the canyon where there was some snow. It was FREEZY although you couldn't really tell in the pics. We would run and take our coats off, snap the picture, and then run back to our coats. It was lots of fun b/c Kyle and I haven't had any pictures of us taken in a long time. Heidi and Morgan got really cute ones too of them and their cute lil dog but those are on her camera. Then we went back to the house and made some yummy dinner and just hung out. Thanks you guys for being so willing on such short notice. But heres the pictures we got. (they look like engagements but shhh....)

Well this one actually really hurt. Haha, I guess I haven't tested my strength lately but when I tried to lift my feet off the ground, it felt like my insides ripped from off my stomach lining. lol. That explains the face.

Oh...If you do want a Christmas card it might still get to you in time. Please comment and leave your address. Even if I already have it, I have probably lost it already. Thanks.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas..

So Kyle and I decided it was time to go pick out a Christmas tree. We wanted to go cut a fresh one down last weekend but we had to do our family Thanksgiving instead. So we drove down to the end of our street and went searching. After many rounds through all the trees, I finally found the one that spoke out to me. lol. It was marked $39.99 (which by the way is so much cheaper than what we ever paid in FL for a tree). Well, the person I am, I negotiated and we settled and bought the tree for $29.99. Here are some pictures....
So we got it home and had many words about this lovely tree. For the life of us, we could not make it stand straight in the tree stand. Don't worry Kyle...Life goes on, haha, and we finally GOT IT!
So I bought the lights with white wire which is so not allowed on a green tree. I also did not buy enough so we had to make a late night run to Walgreens for more lights. This quick tree event turned into an all nighter. But I was very excited to top the tree with my Precious Moments angel.
I know its cheesy, but from the time I was little I have always liked Precious Moments so last year I went and stole all moms ornaments and I found her as the tree topper.

I think the tree ended up so dang pretty. I love the red, green, and white lights. Thanks Kyle for putting up with me:)

So Kyle had a WONDERFUL time trying to put lights up. hahahahahaha. This is the first time we have had a house so I wanted lights of course. Well, I once again didn't buy enought lights so half way through the process.....another trip to Walgreens. Man, that place loves us. They do look wonderful though and it feels like Christmas now in our home.

P.S. It did snow today which was so fun to see. This will be my very 1st cold, maybe White christmas of my whole life. Wahoooo, I will try not to start anymore fires :)

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Ambulance...Ya..ya...ya

So heres what happened......
It started getting cold here in Utah and now that we have a house with a fire place, I thought It would be a great idea to have a fire last Monday night. I called Kyle and told him to find some fire wood at work and bring it home. Well, we started building the fire right before One Tree Hill came on and I threw in some newspaper and then Kyle did the rest. Well, I'm from Florida so of coarse I don't know much about all this stuff, I knew Kyle would have it under control. So he lights the match and we have a fire. Well.....he starts saying...WOW, this is creating a lot of smoke Heather, I wonder why!? So the house continues to fill with smoke and I went running around opening up all windows and doors even though it was 30 degrees out side. Well, we have this security system in our house that we don't pay for but it is still activated. The alarm started going off and shouting...FIRE....ALERT...FIRE! Dang it! They automatically send a response crew out every time the alarm goes off. Ya, so first the officer arrives and checks on us and few seconds later we hear ALL the sirens going off. As they are pulling up, I'm motioning to them to go and everything is fine. Well, they came in and the house is filled even more with smoke. One of the Firefighters says to me, "Hey, do you work at the ER?" Oh great, I'm going to be the joke around the hospital. Anyways, so they bring out their huge fan and blow out all the smoke. In the mean time, we found out that we didn't open the Flue in the fireplace which is what allows all the smoke to exit the house. DUH............ My house was a mess so I'm trying to clean as they are going in and out of the house. So embarassing I tell ya. I'm still laying low when I see Orem Fire come into the ER. hahaha.

I was excited so I was taking pictures.
We were so proud until.......
Dang it...the Fire Department :(
Some were laughing at us....some were NOT!

So Lazy

I am just such a lazy person. Yesterday was Sunday and we have church at 1:00pm. Don't worry, I slept in until 12:30 ish and then didn't have time to get ready for church so I sat on the couch and fell back asleep while Kyle went and enjoyed the cute primary program. I was bummed I missed it. Then today...it has been drizzling all day and I'm on call for work so I try to get the most sleep before they call me in. Well I was forcing myself to toss and turn b/c I thought it was like 9 am. NO....I woke up and it was NOON! Dang, I need to do something. I might go to Mervyns b/c they are going out of business. Anyone bored? I really need to study for Anatomy but lazy people hate to study! hahaha. Hince why I'm writing this post, to procrastinate the things I really need to be doing. :)

Frightmares

So Kyle and I went to Frightmares with a bunch of people from work on Saturday. It was mucho fun. I was a little upset thought because I had never been to Lagoon and I loved to make fun of it as a big carnival. Now that I have actually been and had so much fun, there will be no more laughter coming from me. Kyle and I carpooled with Ashley and Jake and met up with Allie and Dave, and Annalee and Buck. There were lots others there too but way too many names to remember. lol. After Lagoon, we were so starving we went to the famous IHOP and Kyle ate a Country Fried Steak the size of Africa. I did as well, eat so much that I thought I was going to re eat my food. haha I dont have any pictures of this wonderul event so if you would like to see pics, Go to Allie Pepper or Annalee and Bucks Blog! Thanks for the great night guys!

OMG!!

SO...I am at work right now and they don't allow us to have internet so when we do find it on the computer....we flock to that computer and try not to get caught by the natzi's. All those that I work with, you know what I'm talking about. So I found the internet up this morning and I tried to hurry and do something on my blog. Well, while I was being sneaky sneaky, I somehow erased all of my "Friends" blogs. OMG!! They are all gone. So if you all could, comment on this post and include your blog website so I can get back into the BLOG world. Thanks everyone!!!! This is a crisis :)

Kyles Hunt

Disclaimer: If you have a weak stomach....DO NOT READ THIS!

So I tried to post this the other day but my computer froze. Kyle went on his big Elk hunt the beginning of this month and was successful!!! He scouted elk for about 4 days and then the day the hunt opened, he saw a big one and had 2 seconds to decide so he shot his elk. It is pretty decent size for his 1st elk. Just so you guys know, he has been waiting for this hunt for about 14 years so it was a big deal. We kept the skull and horns and turned in the meat which should feed us for about a year. That makes me happy since the economy is suffering and meat is expensive. We will just call that our food storage :) Here are some pictures:
This picture is taken from where Kyle shot it from. Pretty dang close.
He's so proud
I know this is gross for some but this is how it works. They cut all the good meat off and thats what we will be eating.
The head. I have a picture of the skull when it is all done and looks cool. That will be in my next post.

Happy Birthday to me!

Sept 13th was my 22nd birthday and it was an eventful day. We woke up that morning and Kyle went to work for a little bit to earn some extra money and after I opened my gifts I saw why. While he went to work, I went to school so I could study a little bit. Then we went out to lunch with the coolest, most awesomest girl named Analee Ashby from work to Tucanos Brazilian restuarant. She was soo much fun to go to lunch with! lol (Is that better missy?) After that we went to the BYU football game vs. UCLA. It was suppose to be a good game but no, we killed them like 52-0 or something. It was so stinking hot outside so I was kinda falling asleep. After that, we went back home and opened gifts before we went to the Orem Owlz baseball game. Then we came home and were so exhausted we both just crashed. Scroll down to see how funny Kyle is....

So I told Kyle to surprise me with my gifts this year b/c I NEVER get surprises. So he brought them in one by one in a big black plastic bag ( we called that the Debby method) lol.

So this is why I don't like surprised b/c they are so random that I don't know how to respond. Kyle is so dang cute tho. He was like...I HAD THIS PICKED OUT FOR SOOOO LONG!! The reason behind it is that I can't fall asleep super fast so I read or study in bed and I have a bad neck so Kyle thought a back pillow was an awesome gift, which by the way, i do love it! It was just so random. And he made sure he picked out the perfect color to match our bedspread. haha, I love him to much.

So I think this gift was addressed to Kyle b/c it is a surround sound that he found on sale. haha It's still in the box because I'm not sure we can afford this at the moment. We shall see. My face was good on this one. I was like... OOoohh, um...

Kyle got me one more and it was a photo printer for my camera. That is still in the box too b/c I hate spending $$$ on me. I'm still trying to decide. But thank you Kyle for all the thought and $$ you put into my birthday!

This was the best part. I read this card and couldn't stop laughing. This is the front...

This is was it said inside. Do you see whats wrong with it? Kyle felt pretty stupid but I eventually got him to laugh with me. He said,"No wonder the dang card didn't make sense to me. hahaha". Gotta love him! I let it slide this one time. Dun..dun..dun

This was the end of our night at the baseball game. Thanks honey, I love you!

Camping

(Wow, I look rough...but thats what its all about right?)

So this was a while ago but I haven't had time to blog it. This was over Labor Day weekend so we went to Fish lake where Kyle had his big hunt to scout out some elk. Kyle, Dad, and I left on Friday night and Morgan and Heidi met us up there Sunday afternoon and we all left on Monday. It was nice during the days and cold at night. Heidi had never been "real" camping so we thought it would be fun for her to learn how to rough it. Please excuse these pictures. I didn't bring one stitch of make-up and no shower for 4 days!! Beautiful I tell ya.

Boys got in Trouble!

Having fun around the camp fire, well, Heidi doesn't look like shes having fun. haha

Yeah! We caught a fish.

Dad looks transparent in this picture, it was pretty cool.

I'm trying to teach Heidi how to put a tent up, or maybe how to rope a bull. lol. We dressed her up REAL good so she wouldn't get cold on our 4 wheeler ride. She looks like the little boy from the Christmas Story. haha

We had fun. We looked for animals in the am and pm and during the day we ate, played games, and just hung out. I'm glad we were able to educated Heidi on what camping is all about!
