It's a Boy!

At 18 weeks along I went in for routine Dr's appointment to just listen to the heartheart, pee, and weigh in. I was going to cancel my appointment and just come back 2 weeks later so I could find out the sex of the baby, but decided to just go ahead and go in. Kyle was able to make it to the appt and so I got talking with the Dr about how I have been feeling. I told him that for being so early, I was having TONS of pressure "down below". We decided to have him do a pelvic exam to check. While doing this he was shoked as he could feel the baby's head right there!!!! So wanted me to schedule an ultrasound ASAP to make sure I wasn't effacing and dilating.

So I ended up with an ultrasound the next morning....2 weeks earlier than planned but with a little fear behind it. We went in the next day and measured everything and found out it was a BOY!!!!! Hip Hip Horay! I think Kyle actually jumped up and down in the room with excitement. We did find out that the baby is head down and in birthing position already. The Dr. is still concerned and said we will just keep a close eye on me and I might earn bed rest towards the end. I was relieved to know that for now, everything is okay. Except for me! haha jk. I have constant pressure below and I feel like all my insides are falling out. I have horible vericous veins that hurt all day long, and sometimes I swear this child is trying to make it's entrance.

It doesn't help that this month of December has been CRAZY!!!! We went to Mexico 2 days after Thanksgiving, then we came home and closed on our house on December 14th, and moved in starting the 17th! I tried to be good and not do too much bit I haven't stopped since then. I did most of the packing of the house since Kyle was working and his father helped me lift everything. We were in by Christmas and are still trying to organize all of our stuff! I'm exhausted to say the least, but it's so exciting as well!

Surprise!!!

Kyle and I are expecting our second child!!! We are due May 2nd and are very excited. Morning sickness was in full swing and is just now easing up a lil. I have my good and bad days but I don't have to take my anti-nausea meds except for about every other day now, unless I smell something really stinky! Like dirty diapers :) Bailey knows that there is a baby in mommy's tummy. She often comes up to me and asks to listen to baby, and then will put her ear to my tummy. She also has caught on to "mommy feeling sick". She often pulls that card when she doesn't want to do something too! Smart girl :) I taught her how to come and rub my back when I'm throwing up over the toilet, instead of crying and pushing me over. She is going to be a great big sister. She practices every day with her baby dolls! It's hilarious to hear her say the things that I say to her. Much cuter coming from her mouth.

I'm way nervous to have a second child! I'm having a hard enough time being pregnant with a toddler, let alone another child to take care of. I'm always tired, no energy, and just want to lay on the couch all day. Poor Bailey has been watching lots of movies these days! I am excited to have a play mate for Bailey and watch them grow up together. We should find out in another month what the sex of the baby is! Can't wait to start buying clothes :)

Summer of 2011

Summer of 2011 has come and gone...And I thought I almost missed it. It seemed so short and before I know it, it will be snowing again and we will be empyting our banking account for Christmas presents!! :)

We had some good times this summer and I'm horrible about posting them. These are not in order b/c it's too difficult to move pics around.

Highlight: I went Paragliding with my mother. We both went skydiving for my 21st bday so we thought we would do something else crazy for my 25th bday! It was not scary at all, and so peaceful!
Bailey and I spent tons of time out in the back yard this summer. I would lay out while she drove her Barbi Jeep. I would "water" the lawn while she took cool downs by running through! Good times! I also bought her a used kitchenette and she would cook me lunch while lounging in my lawn chair.
With Summer days, comes dirty children. Bailey loves her bubble baths until it's time to get out!

We have also spent most of the summer potty trainer her. She is about there, but we have taken it slowly. What's the rush....!! lol

This is Bailey following after mommy's example! Lounging and eating....two of my favorite things!

The start of the summer our Apricot tree was blooming. We would go out every morning and pick a few fresh ones, break them open, and sit on the picnic bench for a lil treat! I love the way Bailey pronounces Apricot!!

My oldest brother Adam and his three kids were able to make a trip out to Utah the beginning of August. We found tons of fun things to do including boating, hiking, camping, fishing, eating, playing games, and watching the children play!

This is up in the Uintas, Bailey LOVES to fish!!!

My silly niece and nephew and Bailey following after them. Olivia, Hank, and Richie!

We went outside one night and had a dance off in our driveway! Yea, I think our neighbors enjoyed this one. One of my biggest pet pieves with children is when their parents don't dress them and they run around in a diaper....well, I was THAT mom! She enjoyed it so much tho :)

We took the kids up the canyon to Bridal Veil Falls for a short hike, then continued later on a longer hike. We did get rained on but all the kids were troopers!

Notes about Bailey:

She was the sweetest, most lovable and cuddly little girl, then she has her 2nd birthday! It's like the terrible two monster visits them the night of their birthday and tells to not disobey, talk back, and be a monster once they turn two! Okay, she isn't that bad, but she does Back talk me a lot....Sometimes it's funny, most the time, My temper gets short with miss Sassy pants. We also came up with a new name for her tonight.....Pouter Puff! She is quite the little whinner, and I don't know how to change it. She is such a momma's girl. The funny thing is, she is such a lil angel for anyone and everyone, until MOM shows up! Then everything changed. All in all.....I love her so much and I cherish all the wonderful moments we share together. She really does have the funnest and cutest personality. She lights up the room when she walks in and she loves to entertain crowds of people.....just like her momma!

New York....New York, Then BOSTON!

Boy oh Boy!!! What a trip! After our trip to Florida, we needed a nice vacation, where everything could maybe go according to planned, and I can't complain, it was a great trip with my husband!!

My dad and his girlfriend came out to watch Bailey for the week. BLESS THEIR HEARTS! I'm very glad they were able to do it together so they had support. Even my dad said that if Wynona weren't there, he would have been frusterated.

Leaving Bailey wasn't as hard as it was during the Vegas trip. We said goodnight to her the night before. She kept waking up all night, I think she sensed that we were leaving. Then we woke up early on May 13th, and headed to the airport. For our luck, we got a message saying our flight was delayed an hour. Well, we only had an hour lay over!!! So, we got into Washington 4 minutes after our connecting flight was suppose to leave. You would THINK they would wait a few mins to not make 6 people miss their flight. So we had high hopes! We ran out of our terminal and directly across the hall was our flight. The door was still open, so I take off running across the hall and then see the dang lady grab the door. I yelled...."WAIT!" She turned and looked at me and shut the door! OOOOooh....I was pissed! We missed our freaking flight!

Not a big deal, BUT....my bestest friend Kristy was waiting for us in NYC for hours already, 8 1/2 months pregnant, and now we would be 4 more hours, oh and it was her BIRTHDAY!!! Ugh. But she was a trooper and took a nap in the car and waited.

We got to her house late that night. Her kids were still awake and they had made her birthday cards and we got the hang out with them for a bit!

Saturday we woke up and went to watch Tanner, Kristy's boy, play tee-ball! It made Kyle and I so excited for when our kids are old enough to play and we can coach their teams.

Tanner was a trooper while playing in the rain!

After the game, we packed up and headed from NJ, to NYC! We were SOO excited. Our frist stop was Time Square. We needed some lunch so we went to a famous sandwich shop in Times Square. We sat down and a Rueben sandwich was $26!!!! We snuck out of there QUICK! We ended up finding a street festival, which was amazing. Lots of yummy, fried food for great prices.

Kristy and Jeremy had never been to one either, so it was a great hit!

After the festival we met up with Kyle's nephew. He served an LDS mission in New York and he had a free ticket, we told him to come out with us and he could help show us around. We met up at Central park and did a little strolling through.

Central Park!! South entrance.

It was so amazing that across the street you are in the city, then you walk into the park, and it is calm, and beautiful greenery! Amazing! All we could think of while there was Enchanted! lol

I thought this sign was pretty funny....Really, I can't stand here?

Next stop was FAO Shwartz! Amazing toy and candy store. I miss Kristy so much! We used to have so much fun together growing up and being college roommates! She was such a champ, being so pregnant and hanging with us!

We def had to play on the BIG piano! Kinda cool, won't lie!

My friend from High school, Kelli, also got into New York the same time as us for work! We met up with her at FAO and she hung with us. Our trip for two, eneded up as 6 by the end of the day, it was so fun tho!

Our next stop was Ground Zero! Kelli and I discovered on our walk there, that her and I were together in the same Math class, Mrs. Rice, on Sept. 11, 2001. So here we are, going to the actuall ground, 10 years later. Pretty cool! In my mind, there was going to be more to look at and see.

This is the Fire Station directly across from Ground Zero!

On the side wall was a whole memorium for all the firefighters that gave their lives, to protect and save other! The atmosphere was quiet, and somber. It was crazy to sit and think about what happened that day.

This is the whole side of the building, pretty amazing!

Across the street is now a construction zone, where they are building bigger and better buildings. Kyle tried to go look and he got yelled at! So besides the wall, there wasn't anything to look at! Kinda bummed.

We headed back and hit China Town and Lil Italy. It must have been a weird time of year because it was NOTHING like the movies. There were not a lot of people and not much going on. We ended in Times Square again and said our goodbyes to Jeremy and Kristy! They were so amazing to drive us into the city and hang out with us all day. I really do miss them!

That night we went with Ricky to a family members house in Queens. We had our luggage and walked through Queens for a good 20 minutes. A little different experience. I was a lil nervous, it was late, and not the best of places to be. Nobody messed with us, and it all worked out!! The family was nice for letting us stay there last minute!

We headed in the next day and did the rest of things tourists do!

The weather started turning yucky! Rainy, hazy, misty, cloudy! We couldn't even see the top of the Empire State Building! lol

Maddison Square Garden was to our Right.

This was Rockafeller Square, I was getting bored of boring pictures! haha, everybody was looking at me weird!

This picture was taken to remember the struggles of the Subway! We had bought a $20 pass, well, with lack of experience, we used that in a matter of 3 mins b/c we didn't know how to scan it the right way! We ended up buying the unlimited! Highly recommended!

We found the BEST pizza shop down a lil street! 2 slices of pizza, and a drink for $5.00. The pizza was amazing, I don't know why, it was just plain cheese, but MmmMmm....so good! The secret is to sprinkly Garlic powder over top!

Then we tried to go buy tickets to Wicked! The only ones left were $300. Yea right! We decided to go to STOMP instead! It was amazing. It was off Broadway but I kinda liked that it was in a small, ghetto theater. We thoroughly enjoyed the show for only $40.

No, I am not taking a dump.....lol, I was inspired after the show and started doing my own STOMP on the sidewalk. I didn't get any tips, so I had to stop! haha
That night, Kyle, Ricky, Kelli, and I went to the Red Sox vs Yankee game in New Yankee Stadium! The stadium was amazing and beauitful. It was even a better time because the Red Sox swept the Yankees!

It was EVEN better because.......we saw the camera crew come up to the top deck where we were. Kelli and I ran over and started showing our dance moves!!!! Don't worry....

Yep!!!! That's me...oh wait, and Kelli is in the pink sweatshirt, I blocked her face the whole time, on accident of course. lol. That is US...on Yankee stadium Jumbo-Tron!! We were so proud of ourselves :)

Yankee Hall of Fame Wall, pretty cool!

Next day.....we headed out to Ellis Island on the Ferry. This day was even crappier weather. We couldn't barely see the Statue of Liberty, but it was still fun!

After Ellis Island, we headed to Coney Island!!! This place was deserted. We were on the Subway with a bunch of Ghetto High Schoolers. lol. We had fun anyways. Our first stop was The World famous Nathans!

This meal that you're looking at.....Yep, over 2,000 Calories! MmmMmm...still trying to work it off ;) But you can't go to Coney Island and NOT get a Coney dog!

Carnival was closed due to weather.
So we headed out to the beach and created our OWN fun! lol. Since we were the only ones there, we acted like FOOLS!

This is how misty it was, sorry, kinda creepy, but funny!!

After Coney Island, we headed back to the City and strolled Central Park a little better!

Something about it, is Romantic!!

This night, we wanted to go to the Mets game. We didn't have tickets and we were 2 hours late. We decided to try it anyways! We found a single ticket scalper standing on the stairs. He wanted like $40/ticket, we ended up paying $15/ticket thanks to my great negatiating skills. They were AWESOME seats and allowed us into all the Clubs/Bars in the ball park...too bad we don't drink!

The haze was crazy this night. It would roll in, then roll out!
So Kyle, Ricky and I were sitting in our row just minding our own business, then.....The camera crew came up to our level!! OMG.....I could get on the Jumbotron in the Mets stadium TOO!!! Why not?

Well, I had been cold and had to get resourceful, I had an extra pair of white socks in my backpack that I was using as mittens. I was talking on the phone with my sister when the Camera man saw me dancing like a Foo! lol. I started screaming and going crazy......Yep, that's me AGAIN, on the Jumbotron :)

Picture is a little blurry but Kyle was laughing so hard at me that he couldn't get a good picture!

We got home real late that night due to our Subway route not existing. We got our experience in a New York Cab, but it was unmarked! I thought we were climbing into our Death Cab, lol!

We survived New York despite all the things people were telling me. Even staying in the ghetto, no one bothered us!!

This was our sleeping arrangement for 3 nights. This bed was a single, so I ususally was cuddling with that white wall. This was NOT a bedroom, it was actually in the kitchen as a dining room! So awesome, but HEY...it was FREE!!!! lol

Next stop....BOSTON!!!

We got into town, went straight to our hotel and dropped bags off, then walked across the street to Fenway Park!!

We took a tour of the park on Day 1. It had been drizzling all day and we had tickets to the game that night. We were saying our prayers that we would be able to see the Red Sox play that night.

This is our pouty faces when they announced that the game had been post-poned!!
We ended up just walking around the area and went to a grocery store to pick up some ice cream and cookies. We had a nice evening indoors ;)

Day 2: We found the Freedom Trail and started walking! This is me in front of Paul Revere's House. Funny thing was, I didn't even know this was it. We ended up going back to see it because I missed it the first time. lol

We did get a game in on the night of Day 2. It ended up pouring down rain during the game so it was delayed, but not cancelled...thank goodness :)

We got to sneak down to the field while they were trying to dry up the field!

Big Papi (David Ortiz) threw his batting gloves to this kid after the game. We were all waiting out by their cars after the game bc they just park on the street. We helped this kid get them signed by Ortiz by screaming and actin like a fool.

Day 3 we did more of the Freedom Trail, the USS Constitution, and Quincy Market. We had a great time in Boston. It is such a Beautiful place!

We were running to buy souveniors for everyone back at home before our plane took off. This was our last sidewalk we walked down. It was the end of the road for our vacation. Isn't it perrrrtyy?

Thanks honey for the wonderful trip!

Many more thanks to my dad and Wynona for taking care of my wonderful daughter so that this was all possible!!
