So much to Blog!!

Lets start at the first of Febuary:
Bailey started crawling the beginning of Febuary (7 months). I am trying to download a video if I can figure it out. She is so cute. She started just pelvic thrusting the floor and then she got real excited and started kicking her legs. Then the movement began. Now she is a pro! She goes from across the rooms, and even made it into the kitchen last night. She will get up on all fours but doesn't like to crawl that way. She is so adorable and fun, and I love to be with her and play all day :)

This is how I found her sleeping. I thought it was so adorable. She loves to sleep on her belly now!

Kyle dressed her for church! Didn't he do a GREAT job!!

This is how she tries to escape from her high chair if I'm not feeding her fast enough. This girl loves to eat.

Kyle thought he was going crazy b/c he was certain he put her pants back on her. lol, she crawled out of the because the legs were too long on them.

My smart girl, thinking so hard with her fingers perfectly interlocked!
She does so good sitting up too!

My best friend (one of them:)) Katy had her baby on Feb. 10 at 2:50 am after trying a VBAC and laboring for 2 days on pitocin. Her body didn't want to do it so they gave in and had the C-Section. Kya Jayne Watson was 8 lbs 1 oz. 19 in long. She is healthy and beautiful. Thanks for all the prayers for them as they had a traumatic experience with their first born son, Keegan.

Then Bailey got really sick so I took her to the Dr. and she had a mild ear infections and RSV. I'm grateful I work in the ER b/c I just took her in and suctioned out her nose so she could breath for a few days. She couldn't sleep unless we held her upright so needless to say, we didn't sleep etiher. It's been 2 weeks and we all still have a leftover cough and some runny noses. Tis the season for RSV. This is us both sick and she was so cuddly!! She loves to give momma kisses.
Valentines Day:
Kyle is such a sweetheart! I love him so much and I truly am lucky for my wonderful husband I fell in love with! He treats me so good and I couldn't have asked for a more loving man. He puts up with my stupid, silly, hilarious actually jokes, that he sees no humor in. He just shakes his head and moves on. haha. He always helps me around the house, cooks dinner occationally, is perfect with Bailey, rubs my feet (even my long nasty toes), thinks my after baby body is still beautiful and sexy, tries all his might to make me laugh, and whenever is woken up by me in the middle of the night, he sits up in bed and greets me with a huge smile and hug. (If he ever wakes me...watch out, the beast is awake) lol. So I had to work all weekend and while I was at work he snuck out with my sister and went to Costco. I woke up one morning and told me we were playing HOT and COLD to find my present! So being still a little cranky from waking up, I was getting irratated b/c I didn't think he was doing it right. Well, I finally found it and it was an:
Yep! He got me an Ipod Touch! It's amazing, I love it! It will come in handy on our trip to Florida in 2 weeks! So then we were all sick so we stayed home from church and just hung out, which hasn't happened in a long time. Then we put Bailey down for a nap and got through half of a romantic quiet dinner.

It was very low key but that is fine by us. Kyle got some basketball shoes for his gift. That's what he wanted!

Craft Night:

Annalee came over yesterday and we made fabric roses and hair bows. It was so much fun. We haven't hung out in forever! We were missing Allie though, just wasn't the same. The fabric roses were so cool and so easy to make! They can go on hair clips or even on a head band.

Weekend in Wyoming

This was the first weekend I have had off since Bailey was born so we were trying to have a get-a-way. We were suppose to go to Vegas with our friends but that didn't work out. So Kyle's cousin was getting married Saturday in Wyoming so we thought we should head up to Wyoming. We stayed with Kyle's brother Jared and wife Heidi. They are awesome and we always have a good time up there. We arrived Friday afternoon and the boys and kids took off to go ice fishing all night. Heidi invited some girls over and we had girls night. Well, we mostly talked about our children and then we watched Emma. I have a hard time following those British type movies, so I kept asking questions and then finally gave up and just played with Bailey and Bryell. Good thing Beth wasn't that into it either. lol. Then the guys came home late that night and we all went to bed.

Saturday we woke up and hung out. The boys and kids went sledding while Bailey and I took a nap. Then the awesome wedding began. Now, I'm from Florida so I've never seen anything like it. They got married in a barn. Everything was Camoflauge including the wedding dress, wedding party attire, cake, centerpieces, and I'm sure there was more. The wedding party danced down the isle to some country song, quick ceremony, danced back down the isle, served BBQ beef sandwiches, fruit punch, and shelled peanuts. To say the least, it was very interesting. Oh, everyone was in jeans but Kyle and I didn't get the memo soon enough so we were highly overdressed.

We left the wedding, played games, then went to bed. Sunday we hung out and I chopped all my hair off and got highlighted. Then they made Prime Rib and mashed potatoes with lots of other snacks and watched Super Bowl. After the game was over we packed up and left.

It was good to get away for the weekend and spend some time with Kyle and Bailey. Bailey also had tons of fun playing ang getting to know her cousins.

Bath Time

Kyle was teaching his neices how to change a diaper. Bailey was loving all the attention.

Also, today Katy is going into the hospital to have her baby. She will get checked out to see if she can have a VBAC, if not, she will have a C-Section. Everyone pray for her that her baby will come out healthy and free of complications. I'm so excited for them to get to hold their little baby girl and experience parenthood.

6 1/2 months!!

Bailey is now 6 1/2 months, going on 7 on the 30th of January. She is becoming such a fun individual. I honestly find myself sitting around on the couch and on the floor just playing with her all day. She wakes up happy, then we eat breakfast and play, then she goes down for about a 2 hr nap, wakes up happy, eat and play some more, run some errands, goes back down for a nap, play, eat dinner, and then she goes to bed around 7:30-8 pm. She will usually wake up a few times just to get her binkie and then will wake up around 11:30pm to eat again and then sleep till morning. It's really not too bad, and it helps that she takes good naps now so I can nap too.
We went to the Dr's this morning and these were her stats:
Weight: 18.65 lbs 95%
Head: 44.4 cm 85%
Height: 27 in. 75 %
She is a very healthy girl and very interactive and curious. She still has a mind of her own and knows what she wants. Anytime I turn my back or leave the room she makes it known that she does not like that. She wants attention at all hours of the day. She can now roll like a champ, crawl backwards, do a complete 360 in the crib, scream very high pitches, kind of wave, loves playing with daddy when he comes home from work, will reach for something until she gets it, will look around you like you're in her way if she is trying to see something, and much much more. I catch her sometimes just looking at her hands, amazed at how they move, trying to wiggle all her fingers, its just so darn fun to watch her learn and grow. She is so fun to be around and hang out with. I love my little girl and look forward to the great times we will have together as Mother and daughter.
Bailey getting ready for church!

This is how we fed her at the restuarant while we were eating. It was cute.

Baileys good morning face. This was taken for her Auntie.

Kyle was getting irratated bc Bailey kept trying to grab his food so this was his solution. lol

Bailey going on our walk in the bright sun.

Oh ya, she loves big girl food now. Her favorites are quash, zuccinni (sp?), and sweet potatoes. Not too fond of carrots and mashed potatoes haha.
Kyle and I are doing good. We decided the other day we were perfect for each other and we never fight. We are still looking to buy our perfect 1st home and Kyle is still searching for jobs. I am still working at the ER part time and loving it. We have had some pretty awesome Trauma's lately. I just recertified my EMT and looking to get back in school. We are going to Florida in March for a much needed vacation. Other than that, nothing is new, just love being our little family.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas was a blast with a child, I have to say. Even though Bailey is still young it makes you think about life more and the real meaning of Christmas, and look forward to the years to come. I kept telling Bailey the story of the birth of Christ. It went something like this...

"So Bailey, guess what? We are about the celebrate the birth of Christ, thats what Christmas is all about. And Mary rode into town on a donkey, 9 months pregnant!! I'm sure that wasn't very comfortable. And then they tried to get a room at the Inn, and no one would let her in, so she had to give birth in a stable...with animals all around her, with no epidural, and laying on hay! OUCH, I bet that hurt. I can't imagine giving birth that way. I wonder if she was cranky, being all dirty like that and that animals making all that noise? Well, she managed I guess because she gave natural child birth to our Savior, Jesus Christ, and he was healthy and happy. Thank goodness. Boy Bailey, I'm sure grateful for modern day medicine and a nice hospital room that was clean!"

So to say the least, it got me thinking of everything I'm blessed with and so grateful for everything I have in my life.
Anyways, My dad came into town 2 days before Christmas. Then we had a big Christmas Eve dinner at my house with me cooking my 1st turkey, with my dads help. Dinner was wonderful. My mom was there too so my parents spend most the night otgether in the same room. I was very impressed with them both, they did great, with a little awkwardness, lol. Then we all opened one present and hung out, played Wii till the wee hours of the morning. We woke up Christmas morning and had breakfast and then sat down to open gifts. We put Bailey down for a nap so we could get through most of Christmas. Then she woke up and we let her open her gifts. She would hold onto the paper and I would turn the box so all the paper would come off.
My mom made it over around 2 and we opened her gifts. I gotta love my mom's gift giving, you never know what you're going to get. lol. Then we just hung out the rest of the day and relaxed and ate left overs.

Kyles first time carving a turkey, he was so proud!

Bailey's first gift!
This is what Morgan and Heidi got for her.
This is what you get when I go to work and Kyle plays dress up with Bailey. Notice her adorable cowgirl boots I found at Savers for $3.50!!!

New Years:We got invited over to our friends house, Phil and Karen. We ate awesome food all night, played games, they had a tanning bed so I got a sun tan while Kyle hung out in the hot tub, and then we welcomed in the new year. Bailey was so good for us and we had a blast.

Bailey has totally picked up onm rolling over. This is how I found her after a trip to the restroom. She is getting so fun and so interactive. I love this age. By far, the best.
She rolled over and her bow fell down, she was trying to look at me through the lace, I thought it was so cute.

Flash game.

We also took Bailey to the Rec Center and took her swimming for the first time. She LOVED the water which I was surprised b/c it was way too cold for me. Her lips were purple but she didn't seem to mind.

Although this was a wonderful holiday season, we had to take time to think about my best friends baby who would have been a year old on December 29th. He passed away after only 5 days on this earth. He was adorable and very loved. Even though he was here for a short time, he made miracles happen and brought families closer together. Katy and Jason were sealed to Keegan on his one year birthday and I was blessed to be a part of that and feel his wonderful spirit in the temple. We love you Keegan! You are always in our thoughts. Katy is now pregnant with a baby girl and will be here in a month!!!

Counting my blessings!

So lots has happened since my last post.
1st of all, I'm very grateful to still have a place to live. Halloween day our landlord called and wanted to talk. He broke the news to us that since he had been staying in the downstairs of our house he hadn't been feeling very good and after many test, he tested for Meth and it was positive. We then did a test upstairs and waited over a week to hear the results. The health department called and told us it was positive as well. I started packing all the important things and hid them so they couldn't take them away from me. They then called back and said that the level wasn't high enough to condemn the house so we could stay. Still kinda scary right? They said if we just wipe the walls down and have the carpets cleaned then it wouldn't test positive again b/c the levels were so low. Thank the Lord on that one.
In that week we were waiting to hear, we started looking for homes to buy. We got pre-approved and found one we liked. The more we prayed about it and then heard we could stay in our house, we never put the official offer down and have been taking our time to find the right place for us.
In the mean time, Bailey has been growing like a weed. She is now 5 months old and I can't believe it!! She sprouted over night I swear. She has learned and developed so much this past month.
Things Bailey loves to do now:
  • loves to bite on her fingers or anything she can get ahold of.
  • Drool
  • Cry when I leave the room
  • Try to eat anything and everything
  • Can say Da-da-da-da-da
  • Smile at everyone
  • Capable of rolling over but has only done it very few times
  • tries to roll off her changing mat
  • look in the mirror
  • Not sleep very long
  • when she does wake up in the middle of the night, she thinks it's time to play and talks and smiles. Only way to get her back to sleep is hold her all night and bring her in my bed for the last few hours.
  • Pull away and look at anything while nursing, yes, still attached!!!
  • Loves watching Price is Right with Mommy before taking her morning nap.
  • puckers her lips like she's giving a kiss

The list can go on and on. It seems like everyday is a new thing and I love it. Oh she hasn't been very good at giggling so I try to show her how. She now just tries to suck in air and it makes a really funny high pitch noise. I love it.

This is Bailey mesmorized by the water coming out. She loves her baths.

Bailey looks kind of funny here but this was her very first time trying the Rice cereal. She wasn't a huge fan. I give it to her every couple of days and now she is getting the hang out it.

My mom brought over this Christmas outfit. I thought it was sooo cute with the hat. haha
I love this picture. She is just too cute to handle. Gosh I love my little girl!!
THANKSGIVING:
For Thanksgiving we had it at Kyle's sister-in-laws house here in Orem. We usually in the past have had it with the whole extended Johnson family but it has just gotten too big. It was nice having it at a house rather than the church building. We ate lots and lots and then the men watched the kids and all the girls went to New Moon. (it was ehh...Alright)
Then the Saturday after, Heidi and I drove to Ogden to my Graums house and had our Thanksgiving there with my mom and Aunt.
This was way past Baileys bedtime, and my moms Halloween costume wig that she wore to dinner. lol

Can't imagine her with a full head of hair. ha
Kyle and I had his neice babysit while we went to the BYU football game. It was awesome and so nice to actually go somewhere with my husband alone. We had a blast!!

My good friend Ashley had her baby this past week. Her baby Brynlee only weighed 6lbs so she was 2 lbs lighter than Bailey. It is crazy to think in only 5 months they can grow so much.

In this Thanksgiving season, it has made me really think of all that I have and I am so grateful for all of it! I'm grateful I have a great, beautiful, healthy baby girl that brightens my life each and every day. I'm so thankful that I have a wonderful husband who really and truly is so amazing to me and Bailey. He helps out so much and never gets mad at his silly wife. I love this little family we have created and thank my Heavnely Father each day.
I'm grateful for our families and friends who are so wonderful to us and supportive.
For our health, home, and jobs.
For the gospel in my life and all it brings.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
