Baby stuff!

So Kyle and I were finally ready to set up the baby room. We wanted to a while ago but decided we better hold off so we don't have to wait forever for her to get here. So they other night we got to it. Kyle insisted on doing it the manly way, but I MADE him read the directions and is went much smoother. Everything was put together and no swear words were said. Man, good thing they throw in that packet of paper...Just in case :)

This is our almost finished crib. We still don't have a mattress but as soon as we do, it will be soooo cute!!!

Baby Showers

This is me trying to bend over blind folded and change a baby diaper in 30 seconds. The stupid dolls legs wouldn't open up which made it very difficult!!

I got so many cute little outfits! So fun.

This is us making scrap book pages for my new scrap book. Great idea for the handi scrapbooker.

The cutest things ever.

The spread of yummy Cheese cakes and baby pictures.

The Boppy Bouncer that I really wanted!!

Loved the pink stroller. I thought it was fun to push around with my little stuff animal bear.

Allie and Annalee came to support me and my belly!!

Here I am big and proud!! 34 weeks baby. Only 40 days to go. SO CRAZY!!!!
I had so much fun at my baby showers. I do have one more, and it's a work one and cannot wait. I love seeing all the cute stuff that they make for little baby girls. Who knew it would be so much fun getting presents for NOT you. haha. I can't wait to be a mother and am eagerly awaiting the birth of my little Bailey!!
Thanks everyone.

Domesticated!

So I've decided that I need to learn how to do motherly/wife type things since the only thing I'm good at is sports!! Luckily I have Allie and Annalee who feel the same and we have been good at helping each other out. Annalee is very good at sewing and poor thing had to teach the sewing for dummies to me. I went and bought myself a sewing machine and we got together and I now know how to thread a bobbin, sew a button, fix a stuck needle, and I even have made 2 scrubtops for work!!!
Next thing we did together was made homemade freezer jam. Who knew it could be so fun and easy. We made a day out of it and it was awesome. We started with Strawberry jam and we might try to do Apricot jam next. For my moms b-day I baked a fresh loaf of bread and gave her a jar of jam. How simple!
Last thing I did on my own. I'm getting super excited for the arrival of our new baby girl, so I went out and bought letters for her room. I got creative and went and sat outside so I could get a tan while painting. I painted the letters the green color of the wall and did pink and brown polk-a-dots! They are super cute. I will post a picture later.
I have a few more projects in the working but all-in-all, I'm having fun learning new things I never knew how to do and I'm quite proud of myself. haha Who know a tom boy could do arts and crafts :)
Thanks Annalee and Allie for helping the needy!!!!

Italy

My father moved to Italy April 1st because it has always been a dream of his. He decided he wanted some company and so he called Kyle and I and invited us to come visit. So we did! Airfare was not bad so we hurry and bought tickets a few days later. I called to make sure traveling to Europe while 7 months pregnant was ok and I got the go ahead from everyone. We flew out April 8th and got there the 9th. Yes, LOTS of flying. I had to get up every 2 hours and walk the isles. We arrived in Rome, Italy around 7:50 am which was about 4 am our time. We were about 8 hours difference. Since we were already in Rome we went to the City and did the Vatican, Bascilica, and Sisteen Chapel that day. It was beautiful sites even though we were so tired. That night we drove up to Tuscany and spent the night up there in a tiny hotel room but were able to get out and walk the small streets of Sienna and go to dinner. Tuscany area was so gorgeous! Next day we drove to San Giagiaannii..(no idea) which was a mid-evil city and that was awesome. They had a bunch of torture chambers and crazy stuff they used to use back in the day. We then headed to Florence bc we weren't that far away but once we got there we were so tired that we opted to not go down into the city, so we just took pictures from the top of the hill.

(Walking through the halls at the Basilica towards the Sisteen Chapel. The artwork was amazing!!)

(This was the whole drive through Tuscany. Just awesome orchards and vineyards everywhere)

So we left Florence for our long drive back down to Terricina, which is where my dad lives. It is located between Rome and Naples. We got back later and got settled in. The next day was a relax day. We woke up and went to the market for groceries and came back and made ourselves breakfast. Then we walked the town, which is NOT a tourist town. So besides being the only Americans in the whole area, I was pregnant too, which they frowned down upon. I have never been so stared at in my whole entire life. Apparently, Italians aren't having kids anymore and to see a young girl with child, it was so bizzare to them. So to say the least, I was very uncomfortable.
Next day we took the drive down to Naples and on the way we hit up the famous Almalfi Drive which is a very very windy and small narrow road on the side of the mountain. You have to pull your side mirrors in to avoid hitting the oncoming cars. VERY TIGHT SQUEEZE. The only thing we ended up hitting was a fence on the side of the road. lol. Then we drove down to Naples where is was raining and we got lost. We were all so frusterated so we didn't stay long.

(Almalfi Drive from side of the road. The road winds all up and down this steep mountain)
Day 5 we stayed around Dads place again and went around to all his historical sites. It was another good and relaxing day. We knew day 6 would be very busy.
Day 6 we made the drive back to Rome for our big full day. Kyle was the greatest tour guide ever. He planned our whole day and made maps and everything. We got there early and hit up the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forums, Pantheon, Popes Piazza, and everything else our travel book told us to visit. Don't worry, we walked this whole time. One end of Rome to the other. I'm proud to say that I did NOT complain one time about walking. I would just simply ask to take a break when I was having contractions. lol. I would like to say that I was a true trooper.

I found an antique bench and it was calling my name. I HAD to sit! haha
I was able to post all my pictures on Facebook. These were just a few highlights. All in all we had fun. The food wasn't as good as we thought, gas was expensive, jet-lag is so real, and good walking shoes are a must. I'm grateful we were able to go before our baby is born. This was a once in a lifetime chance and I'm glad we jumped on it. Thanks dad for your Hospitality. We had a great time.

3 Years and counting...

It was our 3 year anniversary on March 18 so we decided to go on a big camp out with some of our friends from the hospital. On our actual anniversary we just went out to Olive Garden and had a nice meal and then came home and watched our wedding video, which was so cute by the way!
That Thursday we took off with Ashley and Jake to St. George area and got there too late to sleep at a campsite, so we ended up sleeping on the floor of Kyles brothers vacant condo where there was no running water or electricity. I'll just say we had to get creative with our bathroom facilities ;)
Then on Friday morning, we met up with Allie and Dave to head down to Kanab. We had 6 people squashed into Kyles truck with about a ton of stuff in the bed of the truck and trailor. Kyle was nervous we weren't even going to make it there with all the weight we were carrying.
Well we made it to Dave's home town of Kanab and found..."THE ROCK", which is where we set up tent. Friday we went 4 wheeling, then hiked to the sand caves and played Bocci Ball, made tinfoil dinners, smores, and hung out by the fire.

Saturday we all woke up and made Mountainman breakfast (oh so good), the guys went out shooting while us girls played cards. Then the guys wanted to go 4 wheeling to check out the area so while they did that, us girls laid out in the back of Kyles truck.

well, one of the 4 wheelers blew the transmission on their adventure so that was the end of that! We had sandwiches for lunch and then hung around and climbed "The Rock", then tried to find a hike to the beehives, which was never accomplished, came back, made Dutch oven B-B-Q Chicken and bacon potatoes, and for dessert had Dutch oven Peach Cobbler! That was some good eatin :)

This was the stupid tree that both Kyle and I ran into about 5 times each, and also resulted in me having a small accident with the bladder cuz I was laughing so hard! Dang bladder!
That night we planned on having a huge bon fire but the wind was too bad so we ended up burning through about 5 trees, 1 by 1.
Sunday morning, we had Biscuits and Gravy, packed up, and headed out. We stopped at Allie's home town where her family was so kind and made us lunch and allowed us to take a much needed shower. Then we were on the road again and came home to a dang snow storm! :(

Along with our Anniversary, it was also Allies Big 21 Birthday. Annalee and I took her out for lunch and then her husband had a surprise B-day party for her that night.

Happy Birthday Allie!!!

This is me at 25 weeks pregnant. I grew so much in just 1 week. Actually, I wake up every morning noticing how big I get overnight. Bailey moves so much now and aren't just little nudges anymore. She is doing full on Acrobatics!!

Newest Update: My dad is moving to Italy for 3 months just because he can. He invited Kyle and I to come out before the baby was born so we looked and found cheap tickets and we are on our way to Italy next week!!! We are so excited and can't wait to eat some real Italian food! Pictures are soon to come.

Boyz II Men back again.......

Okay so on March 7th Boyz II Men came to the Wendover concert hall in Nevada! Yes, I know they are such Has-beens but thats okay. I am still a true fan. Well, Katy and I heard about them coming months ago and tickets were $15 but for some stupid reason, we did not purchase tickets...DUMB! Well, the time soon came approaching and tickets sold out!! Panic kicked in and we were doing everything we could think of to get it.

Here were my ideas:

(a.)Take our backstage pass from last concert and work it somehow.

(b.) Track them down in Wendover and become GOOD friends and then go to the concert with Boyz II Men themselves (that wouldn't work too well seeing how I'm 6 months prego).

(c.) Have a melt down and tell the front door that this child in my womb was theres!! (Kyle didn't like that idea)

(d.) Just drive to Wendover and find some drunk people on the slots and talk them into handing over their tickets b/c they were having much more fun in the casinos.

Okay, I'll stop. Kyle has having a panic attack as well b/c he knew his crazy wife would probably attempt all of these ideas without thinking twice, especially if Katy was on board with me too. hahah. So the DAY OF THE CONCERT...my sweet husband called a guy who had some tickets online for sale for a ridiculous price and we talked him down and BAM.....We had TICKETS!!! There were 4 tickets and only Katy, Krissy, and I were planning on going. Through many phone calls, no one else could go.... Kyle offered if NO ONE else could go, "I guess I could go". haha, Well this was suppose to be girls day so I told him he had to just come along and not yell at me when I went crazy. The only thing he said to me was...."Just promise me you won't endanger our child". I agreed to this idea. Okay, moving right along....

We made the 2 1/2 hour drive to Wendover, Nevada and we listened to fun girl music the whole including Boyz II Men. Kyle did very well to not complaining, he even sang along to a few songs. haha GIIRRRLLLZZZ DDAAAYYY, WoooooooOOooooooo!!!!

You won't ever see Kyle in these pictures because he agreed to be our photographer and stay out of the wonderful eventful day of pictures. Thanks honey!

Our ridiculously priced buffet we ate at and only had 20 minutes to eat b/c we couldn't even come close to being late!

Oh my.....The fun begins!

We were all a little worried b/c nobody was in their seats until like 2 mins prior to show time, they were playing elevator music, and there was NO energy in this tiny little stadium. We were going to make sure we brought the energy! So they begin......Katy, Krissy and I are dancing away, Kyle is sitting calmly in his seat taking all the pictures so I didn't have to worry :)

Oh YEAH!!!

Okay, so here is where the drama begins. See these roses....we knew they were coming. Katy tries to charge the stage but she gets stopped by security b/c your suppose to remain in your seats! HA...Ya right! So then I take another way around so they could see me in the wide open....Heres the story from my mind:

Okay Heather...Jump as high as you can and swing your arms like a lunatic so everyone can sit and stare and use you as their entertainment. Okay...he sees me..Jump more...GET THAT ROSE! He is staring right at you.....he has 2 roses left and he is throwing his next rose right to you. Here it comes, flying in the air, right to me.... So here I am jumping up through the air with my arms stretched wide trying to catch it..BAM...out of nowhere, two chicks, one by the way was a massive giagantor woman that had eyes the size of grapefruits and they come flying through the air to catch the rose that he was throwing to ME. All three of us miss the dang thing cuz we were trying to box out and push and shove. So the rose falls to the floor a step below me and without wasting time all 3 of us are on the ground trying to take hold of the dang thing. Needless to say, my promise came back into my head, "Heather, do NOT harm our child". So after being pushed over by shrek woman and her stepping on my finger and breaking my nail off...I KNOW RIGHT!, I stood up and almost had tears. I tried one more time to get noticed but sadly hung my head low and ran back to my seat for a hug. lol.

Stupid lady in the red shirt got all the attention this night. They even talked to her mom on the phone during the Mama song... Shee was hugged, and kissed, and hand held! Ugh!

So then the lights turn back on and the concert is over and I look over and down a few rows and guess who it is......... GIGANTOR with the big eyes, holding MY ROSE! She was taking pictures with it, and swinging it around in the air. Okay so now I'm pissed! So I get heated and Im telling Kyle what all I want to do to this woman and how I'm going to run by while she's posing for her stupid pictures and rip the head of the rose right off and she would be left with the thorns. hahahahaha. Okay, Kyle is getting mad and thinks his wife is now the psycho one, which Ya, I kinda was at the moment. I eyed her down the whole way out while Kyle was pushing me right along. We all know the truth though, that rose was intended for the fat, white shirted lady, standing in the isle way making a fool of herself just for Boyz II Men!

I got over it and we went on our merry way! All in all....I had a blast and I'm so glad we were able to go. Thanks Katy, Krissy, and Kyle for a good night and not letting me end up in jail over that stupid rose that would be dead already.

Thank you for listening to my story and my venting. (I'm really not crazy, I promise :)

Yep, this is me and how big I was thrashing myself around at the concert. Wow...I'm special! This is me at 24 weeks along.
