It's a Girl!!!

So Kyle and I couldn't wait to have our normal 20 week ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby so a girl I work with at the hospital, her mother does research ultrasounds and so we signed up. They take about 20 minutes and do 2 different ultrasounds and their research is to measure the length of the cervix and see if it has any connections to pre-term labor. While they are measuring everything, you can stick in a VHS and have it all recorded and then they print you out a bunch of pictures. We were so expecting a little baby boy body part to be flaunting around but to our surprise......there was no wee-wee!!! I kept asking the girl..."but where is the wee-wee?" haha. We are soooooo excited it is a little girl but also very nervous. There are so many more little things to worry about with girls. We now have to think of girl names and now the shopping begins :) These pictures are pictures of the pictures of the ultrasound b/c my scanner doesn't work. Some of them are kinda hard to see. Here they are:

This is her cute little profile picture. It looks better than the 12 week one. During the ultrasound she was perching her lips together and drinking. It was so cute.
Both of these are her profile body shots. They are a little blurry but you can tell its a little human growing inside me. It's so crazy to know thats growing in me. Such a miracle.

Her legs, feet, and arms were moving the whole time too and I didn't even feel it. There have been two times that I'm pretty sure I felt her moving. I can't wait to actually see her.

Thats a foot if you couldn't tell. This one wouldn't turn out clear. I hope she doesn't have her mommys feet. lol

And here it is.....dun..dun..dun...NO WEE-WEE!! It's a GIRL!!!! YEAH. If you can't tell, you are looking from underneath at her two thighs and her bum. The three little white lines indicates that it is a girl :)

Mexico Trip

So Kyle and I went to Mexico with his parents this past week from the 10th-18th and had so much fun. We have been twice before and usually on Christmas but the tickets were too expensive that week so we went a few weeks later. We got there the first day and just hung out, unpacked, and layed out. While we were at dinner we got conned into going to look at a time share and they give you free things if you go. We talking him into giving me a free 1 hr massage, and 3 rounds of 9 holes of golf in one of the prettiest golf coarses there. It was amazing. It was right on the water along the ocean and every hole was surrounded with palm trees. So thats what we did the next day. Our trip usually consists of waking up..eating breakfast...laying out...eating lunch...laying out...shower...go eat dinner...walk around and shop...eat ice cream...go back to the room and watch a movie...and fall asleep. Repeat the next day! haha. That is what I call a nice relaxing vacation. So besides the golf, the only other big thing we did was went fishing which was a lot of fun besides getting sea sick. I didn't take my camera b/c I didn't want it to get soaked so there are no pics. We caught about 13 fish between the 4 of us and Kyle caught this awesome Jack fish. We had them all fileted out and then Senor Elias took them home to feed his family. The trip was fun and very relaxing and I got a tan. That was the only thing I cared about. Here are some of the pictures:

Kyle and I did tie the round of golf to set the record straight. I had the lead the whole time and then of course on the very last hole I had to find the largest sand pit and dang it.....it took me forever to get the heck out of there. Kyle then has his chance to make a come back and he did. We like it better when we tie that way nobodys pissed off. hahaha.

This is me on the balcony of our room. It was such a beautiful site to wake up to in the mornings. And to hear the waves crashing as you fall asleep.

Laying out by the pool.

One of the many beautiful sunsets. Each night they all looked so different.

Kyle and I at dinner on the beach.

We were on our way home from dinner and hopped on this Pulmoneo which is kinda just like a little glorified golf cart. The guy I think had too much to drink that night. He was hooting and hollering the whole way home but he was hilarious. He jumped out of the cart and let us take pictures, it was fun.

Kyle having fun by himself in the water. I hate to say it but I never even got into the ocean. There were a lot of rocks and the truth be told....I HATE WATER! haha. I keep the sand in place while Kyle goes and plays. Can't wait till we have a child that will go with him.

This is our friend Elias. He has been working here for 15 years and thats about how long Kyle has been going to Mexico. We try to bring him a gift each year we go down. In this picture he is wearing a Utah Flash basketball shirt that we brought him last year. He's an awesome guy.

This is us at Gringo Lingos. It's an all you can eat restaurant. They bring you one plate of food and then you order your next entree. Kyle ended up eating 5 full plates of food. That is sooo much fun b/c each plate is a brand new huge plate of food. I don't know where he puts all of it. This was his first night wearing his new glasses too. I think he looks so cute in them and I love how he now believes me when I say I can read a sign a mile away. lol

This is a store called Senor Frogs. It's the most well known store in all of Mexico. Their logo thing is the frog and they had these wigs to put on to take pictures with. I don't know Kyle, you look kinda good with long hair ;)

This was our last day there before we headed to the airport. If you look carefully, you can see my big buldge of a belly and that was even in the morning. Watch out later in the day, I'll knock you over. haha.

Pic of baby

So I know this is a little late but this is the ultrasound picture of my 12 week appointment. I am now 17 weeks and showing a lot more than I am in the last post. When I put up my Mexico pictures you will see my big belly growing. I think the baby in this picture looks like a little surfer boy so I think it's a boy but when I have dreams, its always a girl. I go to find out the sex of the baby in a few weeks so I will let everyone know when that time comes :) SOOO EXCITED!!

Baby on the way!!!

It's official....I'm pregnant!!! I know most of you have known for a long time I just have not yet blogged about it. I have been putting it off because I keep thinking of what good things I'm going to tell everyone about, and yet, the only thing that keeps coming to mind is how so dang sick I have been. I will be 16 weeks on Friday and I think I am showing already. Truthfully, most of it is my gut I have always had but now I don't care about sucking it in anymore so now I have a dun lap. lol. No, Kyle and I can both tell that my belly has grown. It really is amazing putting aside the loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, sore body parts, growing belly, no motivation, can't walk into the kitchen without running straight back into the bathroom, HATING the smell of onions, working with people that have B.O. that smells like onions, working with people throwing up, starting IVs on myself, telling Kyle his voice makes me nauseated...lol, man, I really don't mean to be venting. hahah. No but truly, we are so excited to be trusted to be having a child. We did talk about it and that we could be ready to start trying and then....BAM!! Positive pregnancy test! We were very lucky that we didn't have to wait and try, try, try again. We had our first ultrasound at 12 weeks and it was very cool to actually see our child and hear it's heartbeat. That made everything more worth it. I go back to the Doctors on the 22nd to listen to the heart again and then my next apt will be telling us the sex of the baby. CAN'T WAIT! Anyways... I will keep updating as the days come and go. We are going to Mexico on Saturday and I'm just praying the Mexico weather will stop this nonsense throwing up. To all you who have been dealing with me so well....THANK YOU!!!!!! Oh yea...I'm due June 26th.

Humbling Moments

My best friend Katy was a few weeks over due with her baby boy. She went into the doctor Monday afternoon and she was sent to the hospital for an Emergency C-section. Baby Keegan was not doing well at all and was flown by Life flight to Primary Childrens Hospital in critical condition. To see a mother who had just given birth have to say goodbye to her son and was told to say goodbye b/c he might not make it through the night was not a moment anyone in this world wants to go through. The instant love that was formed for this brand new child that was fighting for his own life was amazing. It's sad to say that it takes moments like these to make us stop in our tracks and take a moment to think about life and how blessed we are in our every day lives. Baby Keegan.....keep fighting little guy. We all love you and are thinking of you and your parents constantly. Don't give up! If your interested in following Baby Keegans progress, they made a blog for him. www.prayersforkeegan.blogspot.com. Anyone who would like to join in and pray for this blessed family, please do! We need everything ounce of hope and faith out there.
